PSMJ’s exclusive A/E/C Building a Better World Award recognizes architecture and engineering firms demonstrating the strongest commitment to community improvement by encouraging employee volunteering, donating resources and sharing expertise.

September 6, 2022 (Newton, Mass)—PSMJ Resources, Inc., the world’s leading authority on effective and profitable architecture and engineering firm management practices, announces Milhouse Engineering and Construction, Inc. as the winner of the 2022 A/E/C Building a Better World Award. The annual A/E/C Building a Better World Award recognizes firms demonstrating an outstanding commitment to improving lives and communities, through donations of time, resources, creativity and energy. Nominated firms are judged by a select committee based on scored assessments of employee involvement, executive commitment, duration and longevity of programs, and level of impact.

“Firms nominated for an A/E/C Building a Better World Award come in all sizes, from less than 10 architects to over 10,000 civil engineers. What they share is a realization that giving time and resources to those less fortunate is the right thing to do. And more and more, the most sought-after candidates for open positions are judging firms on their level of corporate social responsibility,” says Frank A. Stasiowski, FAIA, Founder and CEO of PSMJ Resources, Inc. “Firms landing the best new architects, engineers, executive and non-technical staff members are the same ones doing their part to do work that matters and to have the maximum impact on the community,” he adds.

In 2012, Milhouse Engineering and Construction established Milhouse Charities, a 501c3 non-profit organization with mission of supporting the advancement of underrepresented youths in the STEM by identifying partner organizations and advancing the collective mission with monetary and mentorship. In ten short years, the group has donated nearly $1,000,000 and completed 7,000 hours of hands-on community service to STEM, resource, and mentorship programs. Participation comes from the diverse body of Milhouse team members as well as friends, and family in Illinois, Indiana, Pennsylvania, New York, Atlanta and Africa.

PSMJ will recognize the 2022 A/E/C Building a Better World award winner along with winners of the 2022 A/E/C Circle of Excellence award and the 2022 A/E/C Premier Award for Client Satisfaction at A/E/C THRIVE: The Growth, Profit, and Success Summit for A/E/C Firm Leaders on September 28-30, 2022 in Nashville, Tennessee.
